GranuLab is a medical device manufacturer of synthetic bone graft since May 2006. It is the first in Malaysia and ASEAN. GranuLab is a subsidiary of SIRIM Technology Venture Sdn Bhd; which is under SIRIM Berhad. GranuLab is an ISO 13485:2016 accredited medical device manufacturing facility and the product “GranuMaS” is European CE Mark certified by BSI, UK.
The manufacturing facility in Malaysia is capable of producing synthetic bone grafts such as hydroxyapatite, tri-calcium phosphate, tetra-calcium phosphate, bi-phasic bioceramics, etc.Product GranuMaS®; which is purely synthetic hydroxyapatite material – similar to human bone mineral, is widely used in Malaysian hospitals for orthopaedics, dental and maxillofacial applications.
GranuMaS® is also being sold in Brunei and Indonesia. Recently, GranuMaS® has also received HALAL certification by Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) as HALAL bone grafts.
GranuMaS® is an osteoconductive synthetic bone graft material based on calcium phosphate hydroxyapatite used as scaffold. It is an excellent alternative material for the repair of bone defects due to its chemical composition being similar to the mineral phase of human bone. Hydroxyapatite is also widely used as bio-active coatings onto metallic implants in orthopaedic and dental applications.
